The Organized Homeschool, A Review

If you are not a homeschooling mom, I still encourage you to read this review and consider purchasing Anne’s book (Dynamic money-and-sanity-saving deal at the end!). You’ll understand why by the end of the review.

Anne Elliott is one of my new heroes, or I guess more realistically, one of my new friends. I hope she doesn’t mind! What I love most about Anne’s book The Organized Homeschool is her transparency. I usually feel intimidated by organization books, but Anne shares personal stories that let you know she’s been where you are! Here’s a nice, professional picture of her. If you want to see a more realistic day-to-day family picture, you’ll have to order her book! She’s not afraid to show you her home and her family.

Yes, Anne fills The Organized Homeschool with lots of practical tips. She teaches you how to look at a room and decide what you want. Anne gives you the tools for creating a plan for your home. Her book has lots of ideas for using many different (inexpensive) items to make your home more appealing and welcoming.

What is more valuable to me is her situation and her perspective. Anne is a mom like me. She has a chronic illness like me. She openly discusses the challenges she faces. Her candor empowers real-life people that they, too, can have order in their homes! Anne also helps us understand that clutter actually starts in our heads–how we view material things.

I want to share a quote with you from The Organized Homeschool. It comes from the end, but it resonates deeply in my heart and gives you an idea of what she is trying to help you accomplish, as well.

I’m slowly learning to be content as a stay-at-home mom. I’m certainly not a perfect mom, but if I learn to be content with realistic life instead of a pretend, super-mom ideal, my children get a better education and a happier home.

That is good enough for me.

Anne’s book is full of not only great ideas, but also many resources! Anne lists many books to hunt for in  your library system, and links to information on the internet. You could be busy for months to come if you really wanted to hone your skills! So, you can see that everyone can benefit from Anne’s book, not just those who need to find a home for textbooks and project materials!

The fabulous news is that Anne is running a back-to-school special through this Thursday, August 11th. She has ebooks on sale at half-price! That means you could snag this gem for a mere $2.50! The time-saving resource list alone is worth that. Click over now and grab your personal copy of The Organized Homeschool. You could be feeling empowered by the end of the day! There are some other great titles for sale as well, so make sure you check it out.

I received a copy of The Organized Homeschool for review. All opinions are my own.
